What is this program?

The Cloud Training for Traders™ Program is a unique blend of many different learning formats and is great for people who enjoy the live training sessions but are unable to travel to our retreats or take the time off to attend a full weekend workshop.
In these 4-6 week training programs you will work on your own, in groups and also have some time with Martha.
You will go through the entire trading process:
- How to find a stock
- How to analyze a stock
- Where to place your stop loss
- You will do simulated trades with your study picks to get the full experience
There is no required daily contact. A majority of discussions and your study halls will be held on our stock blog. Near the end of the training there will be a live Saturday training session. You will have the opportunity to actively discuss your picks and Martha will give complete detailed analysis of the stocks. You can ask questions and interact through out this Saturday session. If you are unable to attend don't worry! The session will be filmed and posted for you to view at your convenience.
Each Cloud Training for Traders™ Program will be a unique and different experience building upon the prior training trading experience. Each Cloud Training for Traders™ session will emphasize a different aspect of the trade.
Cloud Training for Traders™ Program May 2011
The CTTP for May is going to incorporate something we haven't done in several years. The reason to do this Cloud Training in a different way is that for the first time in over a decade there is reason to be excited about a new technology and not just one new technology but an entire industry.
The Cloud Computing Industry
Since we are using Cloud-based technology to present and do the CTTP, this is the perfect platform to launch another Case Study.
So this May, we are going to return to the format of a Case Study based, this time, on Cloud Computing Industry stocks. I feel that this work is perfect for the timing of this new industry as it emerges more rapidly from the fledgling stage to a powerful dominant force in business, consumerism, and the financial markets.
It is indisputably the first really big displacement and disruptive new technology we have seen in a decade with the exception, of course, of Apple Computer's innovative technologies that gave us the IPod, IPhone, and IPad. Apple's creativity and foresight fueled the revolution that is now called Cloud Computing.
What We Are Doing
This CTTP will be different from the February CTTP in that, although we will have students in study hall groups on the TechniTrader® Stock Blog working together as a team, it won't be a handful of pre-selected stocks that we study.
Instead, each group will choose one of the primary sectors of Cloud Computing and will research and study that sector's stocks, selecting one or two, for further detailed analysis.
In this way, all study hall groups will be studying a different sector and consequently different stocks, with the result becoming a list of final Cloud Computing Stocks that I will review and we will put into a Cloud Watchlist for the all students who are Participating and Auditing in the May CTTP. We will then be able to monitor these stocks from summer into the fall.
The list will provide both short-term trading opportunities as well as long-term investment style stocks.
By having each study hall group research and focus on just one of the numerous sectors developing in Cloud Computing, we will be able to cover the entire huge Cloud Computing Industry in a few weeks. When the CTTP ends with our final Live Training Session in late June, all of the study halls will be opened to viewing by everyone who participated or audited.
Everyone who is a part of the May CTTP will be fully ready and well informed on what opportunities are currently available for Cloud Computing, what opportunities are coming soon, and what will come that is not at market yet. This will give you an inside scoop that would be impossible to get without a huge amount of time and energy on your own.
This is a rare opportunity to learn about emerging new displacement and disruptive technology, how it comes to market, how to recognize emerging companies and how to identify the next great stocks that will lead the Great Bull Market that is already stirring beneath the placid surface of the stock market and economy. Big changes and huge industries that revolutionize and change the economy and society do not come along often.
Who may participate?
- TechniTrader® Students who have completed the Methodology Essentials course
This includes completing:
- The online follow up Methodology Essentials Lessons
- The trial month of the Daily Market Educator
- The Market Condition Lab
- You should have all tools set up and be simulator trading or live in the market
Who may audit?
- TechniTrader® Students who have not completed the Methodology Essentials course
- People who do not want to or are not able to actively contribute to the study hall group
Time Requirements: We are extending the time frame for the May training to allow more students time to actively participate. The last couple of CTTPs were rather rushed for many students, so we want to provide a lot more time to accomplish the assignment.
Each Participant should expect to spend no more than a couple of hours each week or less. The extended time is not because the workload is larger but that we want to give everyone more time by extending the entire CTTP experience. By having a longer timeline, we hope more students will be able to fit this critically important experience into their busy schedules. So we would expect a total of less than 4-8 hours to complete the assignment. Since the entire Cloud Computing Industry will be divided among all the study hall groups, the assignment is less than the previous case study on Solar Energy but will, in the end, have more you will want to review and print off for your personal future study.
Schedule
May 20th
The last day to register for placement as either a Participant or Auditor in the May CTTP will be Friday, May 20, 2011. Registration will be closed that day at 5pm PDT.
May 23rd
The first day that the blog study halls will be open for Participants to meet and greet will be May 23rd. You will have the week to login, post an introduction about yourself, and review the preliminary case study outline. Then you can begin to discuss with each of your study hall group members which of the sectors you want to study. Auditors may look during this time with viewing privileges only.
May 27th
A TechniTrader® video explaining the CTTP sector and stock analysis assignment will be posted on Friday May 27th. This video will remain up and available during the entire CTTP session. Each sector will be explained as far as what it will do for the Cloud Industry, where it is in the development phase of the new industry, and the stocks from which you should choose your final selection.
May 27th - June 25th
From May 27th - June 25th, you have time to do the research, analysis, study, and review with your group the sector and the 1 or 2 stocks you choose to present for the final review and my analysis in the Live Training session for the CTTP. You will not be working every day or every evening during June. You can pick and choose the time that you want to work on this assignment.
You will also receive bonus material from TechniTrader® Staff who will be attending the NYC Cloud Expo June 6-9, 2011. What this means is you will hear about all the latest technology and new emerging fields in Cloud Computing right from the Cloud Expo while you are working on the CTTP assignment case study for this industry.
June 25th
The Live Training session will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011. It will be recorded for those of you who can't attend on that specific day. This will be the interactive training we have during all of our CTTP sessions with analysis of the list of stocks and more information about the Cloud Computing Industry.
We will wrap up this CTTP training with comments from Martha on the Blog and posting about the Cloud Expo and what to do to be ready for the fall rally and activity.
The individual study halls will be open exclusively to Participants and Auditors the following week and will be available to them for several months to study and review.
This is a rare opportunity to experience an emerging new industry in a training format that will give you a much broader and more detailed view of what is coming in terms of trading and investing opportunities.
