This is a complete course on how to swing trade stocks.
Swing is a shorter term trading style with fast moving stocks that run with momentum or velocity. Martha defines the difference between these two types of price action and shows you what indicators to use and how to quickly analyze the stocks for potential momentum action.
Students attending this online course may register for the private FreeStockCharts.com Swing Trading Notes area where they will receive notes on swing style stocks and may ask Martha to analyze their picks.

Lab classes are 4-10 week on-line courses that are offered in a semester style format. Each lab class takes a specific topic that is explained in great depth. Graphs, charts, and other visual tutorials are used to aid the student in learning the material quickly.
Labs Being Offered
Time Segmented Volume
This lab class focuses on Time Segmented Volume, a hybrid indicator that is more sensitive and leading than most volume indicators. TSV is one of the most important indicators for tracking institutional activity in stocks for stock and option trading.
This 8-week lab will cover:
- How to use TSV for all the different market conditions
- Period settings for different trading styles
- How to apply other primary indicators and all the sub-indicators
- How to read the various patterns and what each means
- How to use TSV to analyze indexes and ETFs
If you want to learn TSV in-depth, this lab class will give you extensive details you can immediately apply to your trading.
Globalization of the Financial Markets
This TechniTrader lab class explores and explains how the globalization of the financial markets is changing the way every investor and trader trades the 8 major financial markets. How will a global marketplace affect your retirement account? How can US citizens take advantage of international markets? What does this mean for the US stock exchanges? How will FOREX be impacted? and much, much more.

This is an in-depth lab class explaining the eight levels of market participants and how each impacts price action, trend, and the market in general. This course is a complete study of the various institutions, traders, corporations, and individuals who trade and invest in today's stock market. Each level of market participant leaves a different footprint on charts. To be highly successful in today's market, traders need to be able to identify the difference between quiet accumulation, large lot trader activity, and smaller lot activity.
