Bollinger Bands
The Bollinger Bands Lab will go into extensive detail on the use of Bollinger Bands for: Day Trading, Swing or Momentum Trading, and Position Trading.
Attendees will learn each of the variations of Bollinger Bands, new Hybrid versions of Bollinger Bands incorporating indicator formulas to expand the use of Bollinger Bands, and detailed examples of: compressions, expansions, flanges, buckles, and other patterns that form with Bollinger Bands.
Every week, attendees will receive an online lesson with charts, diagrams, detailed instructions, and homework assignments with answers to the prior week's homework.
Attendees will receive special settings developed for each trading style and market condition for use during and after the Lab Class. These custom settings were developed by Martha Stokes C.M.T.

Psychology Behind Support and Resistance
This lab teaches you how to understand and use support and resistance to your advantage for all types of trading styles. Lessons are designed around short to intermediate term trading styles with homework assignments to improve your skills in this area.

ETF Elective Online CourseSpring Semester: Apr 11 - May 28, 2012
General Information
The ETF course is designed to help traders use ETFs as a trading instrument better by understanding the dynamics of the ETF.
- what indicators work best with ETFs
- what candlestick patterns are likely to form
- how an individual stock differs from and ETF
- how it trades and how price action moves
While all market participants buy and sell stocks, not all market participants trade ETFs, this means that price action will be different than stock price action and how indicators will perform. In addition, ETFs also come as ultras, which are leveraged ETFs. Understanding how a leveraged ETF works, when to use these ultras, and how to limit your leverage exposure is critical to successful ETF trading.
If you are considering trading ETFs or are not as successful as you want to be with ETF trading, the ETF online elective course will give you vital information about ETFs most traders do not know or understand. By studying ETFs in a course format, you will learn how to use these relatively new trading instruments for a variety of trading styles, market conditions, etc. As a bonus, all registrants will be invited into a private notes area of FreeStockCharts.com where Martha will review ETFs each week and give examples that correspond with the lessons for that week. Dear 2010 Retreat Student,
We are working hard to make the 2010 Retreat the best live workshop ever. To make the experience even more productive for you we are doing something we haven't done before. The Retreat will start as we usually do with 2 screens and projectors for the training slide show.
In the course materials given to you at the Retreat, you will receive a set of charts for each market condition. We will begin the training with 2 of the 6 Market Conditions. After 2 market conditions are taught, students will break into study groups to do some hands-on training of selecting stocks for those 2 market conditions.
You and your group will work together to study and analyze the charts to select the best for a classroom trade. Once groups are finished, we will then go over the trade as it progresses forward in time reviewing each change to the held stock until it is time to exit the trade. We will continue through all 6 market conditions and compare the differences and adaptations to trading that needs to be done for each one.
By studying the process of trading each different market condition with a hands-on approach we feel you will learn far more in this Retreat.
To facilitate this hands-on training, we want to divide the Attendees into small groups of 5-6 students before the Retreat. We would like to group students according to trading styles and experience. We will be sending you a Student Profile so we can place you in a group of traders who trade similarly.
If you have at trading buddy or were part of a Case Study group and want to be with that group of students, let us know.
If you would prefer not to be part of a study hall group, then you can study the charts on your own. You are not required to be a part of a study group.
